About this role:

Wells Fargo is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to develop, enhance and maintain our Prime applications in capital markets domain.Selected candidate will contribute in development of multi asset Prime system with distributed components. He or she would be responsible to code the critical components of the application and understand the end to end flow of the system. In addition the person would interact with the upstream and downstream counterparts as well and should be able to understand the new requirements in the system that needs to be incorporated as and when required.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in Agular, Java and UI development experience preferably in Capital Markets.
  • Strong expertise in Angular for building scalable, highperformance enterprise UI applications, including:
    • Componentbased architecture with reusable and maintainable design patterns
    • Extensive use of RxJS for reactive and asynchronous data handling
    • Efficient handling of large datasets using AGGrid, focusing on optimized rendering and lowlatency performance
  • Proven experience designing and working with realtime, eventdriven architectures, integrating UI with backend systems via messaging platforms such as Solace, Kafka, and MQ.
  • Good working knowledge of Javabased backend systems, with the ability to understand service flows, APIs, and collaborate effectively with backend teams to deliver endtoend solutions.
  • Strong focus on performance, scalability, and code quality, with handson experience in:
  • Designing modular, extensible, and maintainable UI solutions
  • Optimizing UI responsiveness for latencysensitive trading applications
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, with experience working in CI/CD pipelines and enforcing code quality through tools like SonarQube.
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design, complemented by excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, with experience working closely with traders, business users, and crossfunctional teams in fastpaced, highpressure environments.
  • Capital Markets/Investment Banking experience
  • Familiarity with tools like Github, Jenkins, UDeploy etc
  • Experience in implementing distributed system, microservices etc
