Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Sales & Proposal Manager for Power Transformer business in India. The Lead Sales & Proposal Manager shall play a pivotal role in ensuring that key deal risk has been identified, reviewed and mitigated. He/she shall be balancing key risks and rewards trade-off associated with an opportunities/ contract. He/she shall be implementing effective sales strategies and manage PTR ITO lead time to improve capture/ win rate. He/she shall be able to achieve order input and contribution margin targets and foster a positive environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Follow the ITO process for Power Transformer business in India sub-region.

  • Implementing sales strategies and executing plans to drive order input & profitable growth.

  • To focus on the preparation of a winning proposal, meeting customer's priorities/quality goals in terms of time/schedule, price/costs as well as competitive content and formats, both from a commercial and a technical application perspective.

  • Conducting opportunity and Deal Desk (DD) reviews to support the go-to-market and deal selectivity decision.

  • Leading the evaluation of risks in the deal, developing contextual effective mitigation plans, and obtaining the necessary decisions of risk triggers in compliance with organization policy.

  • Ensuring a proper recording of bid status (win/loss) and transferring of won bids to OTR

  • Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) with MBA preferred

  • Min 7+ years of experience in commercial/ sales/ tendering function

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute campaigns.

  • Proven experience in commercial/ sales management/ tendering role preferably in power transformers/ high voltage electrical equipment manufacturing industry.

  • Understanding of Sales Strategies and Customer Relationship Management.

  • A team player and strong peer-to-peer networking capabilities across other functions.

  • Effective negotiating skills involving communication, problem-solving, and the ability to reach mutually beneficial agreements with client.
