Roles and Responsibility:
This role provides executive leadership and oversight for automotive R&D development activities.
It holds full end-to-end responsibility and accountability across all functional domains, including electronics development, testing, project management, quality management, and resource governance.
While contributing to the development of global strategies, the position offers a clear pathway for leadership expansion and career advancement to the next level position.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelors in EE / EEE / ECE / Automobile (Should be in regular only)
Relevant Experience:
18+ years of Total experience with minimum 12 yrs in Automotive R&D/ Design centers/OEMs
- This role leads the development of high-quality automotive electronic systems in accordance with organization Design Standards, with a strong focus on development cost control and operational efficiency
- Oversees stakeholder communication and reporting with senior management, development teams, and product owners, ensuring clear progress visibility and effective issue resolution to support timely decision-making
- This position actively drives initiatives to secure business both within India and in international markets, contributing to the expansion of overall business opportunities
- Provides leadership in resolving complex issues from a holistic viewpoint, while driving initiatives that strengthen the organization's development capabilities.
- In support of a sustainable engineering organization, the role enables structured capability building for junior engineers through the manager layer, while enhancing engagement, motivation, and retention.
- Collaborates with the General Manager on the creation of next-generation business plans and establish the organizational framework to enable future growth.
- Full authority to lead and manage the Design for Infotainment, Body electronics design and test engineering team, including assigning tasks and overseeing their performance.
- Decision-making authority over Design planning, scheduling, and execution strategies within the scope of vehicle development projects.
Objectives and Target:
- Vehicle development Project execution - overall On-time execution of project development schedules
- Sourcing activity - Pull-forwarding the sourcing completion to secure the development lead time for project
- WorkLoad - Work Force - 0.95
- Business Expansion - 15% GFS project expansion by creating our business scenario
- Management skill up - Driving stronger leadership and increased visibility across the manager layer.
- This role strategically and systematically leverages the ePlanning organization to visualize the development progress of a wide range of components, enabling timely identification of where issues are occurring and prompt execution of corrective actions.
- Appropriately understands management-level requirements and their background, and engages in consultation with the Vice President and General Manager.
