Overview

The Gallagher Center of Excellence (GCoE) is looking for a Lead Graphic Designer/Design Manager to lead our Design

Studio Service. In this role, you will act as the studio lead, overseeing a team to produce high-quality, visually

compelling communications for our clients worldwide. We are looking for a hands-on leader with advanced expertise

in Adobe Creative Cloudspecifically InDesignwho can manage team workflows and ensure every deliverable

meets our standards. You will be responsible for maintaining strict quality control, and fostering a collaborative

culture within our shared services function. Ultimately, your leadership will ensure that complex employee benefit

information is transformed into clear, engaging communications that help our diverse clients and thie people thrive.

Responsibilities

How you'll make an impact

  • Tools to be Know : Indesign (Advance) , Adobe Illustrator, Word Document, Photoshop Lead the design team to ensure the deliverables align with the SLA's, maintain design integrity, and meet client expectations. Your ability to work collaboratively, manage deadlines, and produce exceptional results is critical to the success of the team.
  • Directly accountable for the end-to-end quality governance of the team, ensuring the technical accuracy, and error-free delivery across all outputs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to create compelling output presentations and marketing materials that effectively communicate complex information in an engaging, easy-to-understand format.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality, and adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Mentor junior designers to elevate the overall quality of output, ensuring adherence to best practices in layout, typography, color theory, and other design principles, and conducting quality reviews of team outputs.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and clients iin the US and UK, ensuring their design needs are met with creativity, professionalism, and responsiveness, and proactively soliciting feedback to gauge satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adhere to established design processes, ensuring efficient project workflows, timely communication with project stakeholders, and maintaining organized project documentation, including design files, version control, and design briefs.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve design processes, suggesting enhancements to increase efficiency, quality, and overall team performance, and developing contingency plans to address potential challenges in design execution. Take ownership of your own professional growth, actively seeking out opportunities for skill development through workshops, courses, and industry events, and leading or facilitating internal knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance the team's design capabilities and understanding of industry best practices.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to assess existing workflows and implement process improvements that drive efficiency, collaboration, and quality.
  • Innovation & Learning: Eagerness to stay ahead of design trends and embrace new tools, techniques, and technologies that improve team performance and output.

Qualifications

About you

  • Minimum Required Degree: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Preferred Degree: Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Certificate(s)/Special Training
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in presentation software such as PowerPoint or Keynote.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media, Digital Branding, and Employer Branding concepts is beneficial.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest design trends and best practices.
  • Experience ( Career Level Guide)
  • Minimum of 7+ years of professional design experience, focusing on business presentations, marketing collateral, and branding.
  • Experience in an agency environment, specifically supporting UK or US-based clients
  • Strong portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of iconography, typography, color theory, space, and texture.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest design trends.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior designers.
  • Experience in conducting quality reviews and providing constructive feedback
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest design best practices.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing business materials, marketing materials, and other relevant design work.
  • Effective time management, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead design projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor junior designers.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships, solicit feedback, and continuously improve design processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English skills are essential
