ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE:
- Support creation and periodically modification of bank's medium to long-term strategy ensuring seamless translation of strategic objectives into actionable business plans and measurable outcomes across all business verticals.
- To identify, plan, and support execute strategic initiatives that drive towards organizational vision and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with functions to ensure envisioned outcomes of the identified initiatives are achieved within desired timelines.
- Work with leadership team to address the market dynamics, emerging trends and evolving customer needs.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to measure the success of strategic initiatives
- Support the annual strategic planning exercise across businesses and quarterly strategy reviews
- Monitor strategic initiative budgets and provide variance analysis to senior management
- Oversee the conduct of in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
- Analyse industry trends, best practices and competitive landscape to guide strategic thinking and decisions.
- Provide trusted advice and insight to the executive team on emerging market trends and policy developments, including how they could impact or be exploited.
- Planning and executing the banks initiatives for process optimization and TAT readiness.
- Digital transformation initiatives to achieve high technology-low-cost operations
- Management presentations on strategic initiatives and market developments
- Establish governance frameworks for strategic initiatives, ensuring that all new initiatives are monitored for success and aligned with the bank's strategic priorities.
Desired candidate profile:
- MBA or equivalent qualification from reputed institution with specialization in Strategy, Finance, or Banking. Certifications in Strategic Planning, Digital Transformation will be advantageous
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in banking, financial services, or strategic consulting.
- Expert at effectively pivoting between strategic development and tactical deployment
- Project Management experience
