Key Responsibilities:
Project & Technical Leadership:
- Act as Project Manager for selected projects, managing successful delivery of high-quality single or multi-disciplinary projects.
- Provide overall electrical engineering leadership across projects, including design and execution stages.
- Monitor and control MEP/electrical design changes and ensure proper change management.
- Ensure designs comply with local requirements and international standards.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Develop, mentor, and coach junior and graduate engineers.
- Check and review electrical designs undertaken by team members.
- Motivate and guide the design team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Design & Coordination:
- Develop thorough design philosophies and contribute across all project stages from inception to detailed delivery.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, clients, project managers, and QS.
- Collaborate with remote design teams or subconsultants on Middle East projects to ensure compliance and satisfactory performance.
- Provide technical support for sustainability studies, calculations, and reports.
Client Engagement & Compliance:
- Attend external meetings and prepare design presentations and reports.
- Provide technical support for prequalification documents, RFPs, and client inquiries.
- Enable Local Authority approvals where required.
Project Management & Quality:
- Forecast, plan, and manage own and team workload against agreed criteria.
- Ensure multi-disciplinary coordination and correctness of design documentation per QA/QC processes.
- Monitor financial and commercial aspects of projects.
Professional Development & Business Development:
- Maintain and participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Contribute to business development through market profile activities and client engagement.
- Apply policies relating to Health & Safety, quality, and training across projects.
