About the Team and the Role

The Creative team at Ather is responsible for crafting the brand's visual identity, conceptualizing high-impact campaigns, and maintaining design consistency across all consumer touchpoints

.This role is for a strategic and creative design leader who will manage the communication design team, scale design capabilities, and ensure world-class design standards across all business communications.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and update the long-term brand design strategy and visual roadmap aligned with evolving business and product objective
• Establish and continuously update the comprehensive corporate Brand Book to ensure strict brand custodianship and visual consistency across all business function
• Lead, mentor, and guide the communication design team to deliver high-quality multi-channel marketing campaigns and miscellaneous creative request
• Assess design team capacity, manage quarterly planning, and strategically allocate design resources and bandwidth across various business stream
• Evaluate, onboard, and manage relationships with external design partners, agencies, and vendors to support extended bandwidth requirements
• Recruit and hire diverse creative talent to scale design capabilities in line with evolving brand requirements
• Build strong working relationships with functional heads and cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges through design
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and IT/IS teams to establish compliant vendor processes and manage software licensing and technical requirement

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related creative field.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in communication design, branding, or creative agency environments, with a proven track record of managing design teams.
• Experience in managing external design partners, production houses, and creative agencies.

Must Have Competencies

• Brand strategy formulation and visual identity design across multi-channel environments.
• Creative direction and design mentorship for graphic and communication design teams.
• Strategic resource allocation, capacity planning, and agency partner management for creative deliverables.
• Cross-functional stakeholder management and collaborative design-led problem solving.

Good to Have Competencies

• Application of core industry design tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Motion design and video editing principles for digital campaigns.
• Integration of print production processes, typography, and environmental branding elements
