Job Summary
The COE Lead - Compensation Benefits & Shared Services heads the Center of Excellence for compensation strategies and shared HR services, driving total rewards programs, payroll efficiency, and policy compliance across the organization. This role ensures competitive compensation structures aligned with business goals while optimizing shared services for cost-effectiveness and scalability in a manufacturing or corporate environment. The position reports to the HR Head and collaborates with finance, business units, and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement compensation strategies, including salary benchmarking, incentive plans, equity programs, and total rewards frameworks to attract and retain top talent.
- Oversee shared services operations such as payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR transactional support, ensuring seamless delivery and adherence to SLAs.
- Lead the COE team in conducting market analysis, job evaluations, and compensation audits; design financial models for merit increases, bonuses, and budget planning.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and integration projects (e.g., M&A compensation alignment, system enhancements) while managing stakeholder relationships across divisions.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in compensation and shared services; prepare reports for audits and executive reviews.
- Mentor and build high-performing teams, providing training on compensation best practices and shared services tools.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master's or MBA preferred.
- 15+ years in HR with 5+ years in compensation leadership and shared services; experience in manufacturing/automotive sectors advantageous.
- Strong expertise in compensation tools (e.g., market surveys, Workday/SAP SuccessFactors), financial modeling, and shared services platforms.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional teams, process optimization, and stakeholder management; knowledge of Indian labor laws and global compliance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills; ability to handle confidential data with integrity.
