About the Role
We are seeking an experienced P&C Lead Business Analyst with strong knowledge of insurance domain processes, requirement gathering, and solution design. The candidate should have hands-on experience working with underwriting, policy administration, claims, and billing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and process flows.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure alignment of requirements and solution feasibility.
- Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and propose effective business solutions.
- Support UAT by preparing test scenarios, validating functionality, and coordinating with users.
- Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across policy, billing, and claims.
- Ensure compliance with P&C standards, regulatory needs, and best practices.
- Provide domain expertise during design discussions and client interactions.
- Assist in system configuration, workflow optimization, and process improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance (P&C) processes.
- Hands-on experience with at least one P&C platform (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco).
- Proficiency in writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, wireframes, and workflow diagrams.
- Understanding of policy lifecycle, endorsements, renewals, claims, billing, and underwriting.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Good to Have
- Certifications: AINS, CPCU, Guidewire BA, or other insurance-related certifications.
- Experience with data analysis, SQL queries, or reporting tools.
- Exposure to cloud-based insurance platforms.
