How will you make an impact in this role
American Express Banking Corp. (AEBC) India Branch is a banking entity regulated by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) which holds the India Card (credit cards, gift cards, prepaid cards, forex cards) and Travelers Cheques distribution activities. This is a key position in American Express Banking Corp., India Branch Controllership team, will report into Manager and assist with the following processes:
1.Prepare and post daily and month end accounting entries ensuring compliance to relevant internal policy and US GAAP accounting rules
2.Support daily treasury activities like fund transfers, deposit payment etc.
3.Facilitate daily media settlement which includes preparation of form 15CA etc.
4.Support statutory payments like GST, DEAF, DICGC etc.
5.Reconcile & settle TDS liability, submit quarterly returns and resolve queries in accordance with Income tax law
6.Reconcile & clear open items, prepare sub ledger supports and monitor account reconciliation status.
Qualifications: The minimum qualification required is graduation in commerce with 2+ years of relevant experience. An MBA, post graduate, C.A (Inter) would be given preference. Relevant experience includes:
.A strong financial accounting / reporting background including understanding of regulatory requirements
.Strong knowledge of AMEX businesses, Finance and Reporting Systems would be a preferred.
.Must be proficient in MS Applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
.Results driven and ability to perform multiple tasks, work to strict deadlines and priorities tasks.
