Job Title: L1 RCS Engineer

Location: Indore, India

Experience: 3–5 Years

Shift: 24/7 Rotational

Job Summary

We are hiring an L1 RCS Engineer to support real-time operations of RCS/IMS platforms in a telecom environment. The role involves monitoring, incident handling, basic troubleshooting, and ensuring service availability across 4G/5G core networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 L1 support for RCS/IMS network operations including monitoring, reporting, and ticket handling.
  • Perform proactive alarm monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution within SLA timelines.
  • Own and manage incident tickets, ensuring timely closure and proper escalation to L2/L3 teams.
  • Analyze logs and perform basic root cause analysis (RCA) for network/service issues.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure service availability and stability.
  • Generate reports and track operational KPIs, contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Support change implementation and validate configurations post-deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-domain teams (Core, Transport, Cloud) for issue resolution.

Technical Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of RCS/IMS architecture and interfaces.
  • Hands-on exposure to RCS platforms (Preferably Mavenir; Nokia/Ericsson/Huawei is a plus).
  • Knowledge of IMS/RCS call flows:
    • Registration
    • Chat & File Transfer
    • OTT-to-OTT Communication
  • Understanding of protocols:
    • SIP, Diameter, RTP, RTCP, HTTP/HTTPS, H.248
  • Basic knowledge of Linux environment and command-line operations.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes / containerized environments.
  • Familiarity with SDN/NFV technologies.
  • Basic understanding of networking and cloud concepts.
Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in RCS/IMS Operations / Telecom NOC.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.E / B.Tech) in relevant field.
  • Strong experience in monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
  • RCS node experience (preferred).
