Job Description for Key Account Manager- Govt Tender business
- Government Institutional Sales Management
- Manage and grow sales across Central State Government, PSU, ESI, CGHS, Defence, Railways, and Medical Colleges.
- Develop annual and quarterly business plans for Government accounts.
- Achieve assigned revenue, collection, and market share targets.
- Tender Contract Management
- Identify, evaluate, and track upcoming government tenders.
- Coordinate preparation, submission, and follow-up of tenders ensuring technical, commercial, and statutory compliance.
- Work closely with pricing, regulatory, production, and logistics teams for timely tender participation.
- Manage rate contracts, extensions, amendments, and renewals.
- Key Account Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
Procurement committees
Hospital administrators
Key decision-makers and influencers
- Conduct regular account reviews and engagement programs.
Resolve operational, supply, and post-order issues proactively.
- Order Execution Supply Coordination
- Ensure smooth order execution from PO receipt to final delivery.
- Coordinate with supply chain, production, and finance to avoid delays and penalties.
- Monitor dispatches, invoicing, and documentation as per government norms.
- Pricing, Profitability Compliance
- Recommend competitive and compliant pricing for government business
- Market Intelligence Business Development
- Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and policy changes.
- Identify opportunities for new product introduction in government institutions.
- Support inclusion of products in hospital formularies and essential drug/device lists.
- Collections Documentation
- Ensure timely collection of payments and follow-up on outstanding dues.
- Coordinate with finance for bill submission, clarifications, and audits.
- Maintain accurate records of tenders, contracts, and correspondence.
Key Skills Competencies
- Strong understanding of Government tendering processes
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills

Experience: - 3-4 years of exp. in surgical sales.
