Job Purpose
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships across modern trade and e-commerce channels, with a special focus on quick commerce platforms. This role is critical for driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development:
- Drive growth and manage business relationships across modern trade and e-commerce channels, including quick commerce partners.
- Develop and execute joint business plans with key accounts to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Key Account Management:
- Maintain and expand relationships with key customers, ensuring long-term partnership and brand loyalty.
- Negotiate annual agreements, promotional plans, and terms of trade to maximize returns.
- Quick Commerce Strategy:
- Strategically manage partnerships with fast-delivery platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, etc.
- Identify opportunities to drive visibility and sales on these platforms.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Analyze sell-in and sell-out data, prepare sales forecasts, and generate actionable insights using advanced Excel skills.
- Share regular performance reports with internal stakeholders.
- Presentation & Communication:
- Create professional, visually engaging PowerPoint presentations to report sales performance and strategic plans.
- Maintain excellent communication with both internal teams and external partners.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of trade initiatives.
- Address operational challenges and ensure timely delivery of products.
- MBA from a recognized B-School preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in key account management, sales, or business development within the FMCG sector
- Strong expertise in modern trade and e-commerce, with proven experience managing quick commerce platforms
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis) and PowerPoint (presentation design)
- Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Prior experience in food/FMCG sales will be an added advantage
NOTE: We are hiring only for Delhi and Mumbai locations. Candidates must have market exposure in either of these regions. Additionally, we require candidates with experience exclusively in Modern Trade.
