About the Role
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding long-term strategic relationships with high-value wholesale channel partners (e.g., Distributors, Large Dealers, Aggregator, FMCG Exporter) across Punjab. This role is central to driving B2B revenue and market penetration by formulating and executing robust channel sales strategies.
Responsibilities
- Channel Sales & Revenue Growth
- Target Achievement: Exceed assigned sales targets for primary (sales to channel partner) and secondary (sales by channel partner to end-customer).
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive annual and quarterly business plans for each key channel partner, defining clear growth strategies, product focus, and market expansion.
- New Channel Acquisition: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new high-potential wholesale partners (Distributors, Super Stockists, etc.) to expand market reach in both urban and rural markets, particularly in Uttarakhand.
- Product Penetration: Drive the placement and sales of the company's full product portfolio within the key accounts and their respective downstream networks.
- Relationship & Account Management
- Partnership Management: Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for all key accounts, fostering strong, long-lasting, and mutually beneficial relationships at senior management levels.
- Conflict Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve complex commercial issues, conflicts, and operational challenges between the company and its channel partners.
- Performance Review: Conduct regular (monthly/quarterly) business reviews with partners, analyzing performance, market trends, and jointly developing corrective action plans where necessary.
- Market & Commercial Operations
- Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, schemes, and contracts with key accounts to ensure profitability, adherence to company policy, and competitive advantage.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate weekly/monthly sales forecasts, market intelligence, and pipeline reports using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, inventory management, and smooth product availability for key accounts.
- Partner Enablement: Work with Marketing and Training teams to ensure channel partners are fully equipped with product knowledge, marketing materials, and sales tools.
