Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and relationship-driven professional to join our Government & Corporate Partnerships team as a Key Account Manager. This role will be instrumental in deepening Airtel Payments Bank's engagement with state government departments and exploring institutional opportunities beyond the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Partnerships:
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders across state government departments.
- Identify and drive opportunities for Airtel Payments Bank to support government programs through DBT, SBAs, bill payments, banking point expansion, and broader financial inclusion initiatives.
- Lead empanelment efforts for government schemes and ensure smooth onboarding and execution of state-led initiatives.
- Represent the bank in government meetings, workshops, and partnership forums to strengthen collaboration and visibility.
- Maintain robust market intelligence on state government initiatives, policies, and upcoming opportunities.
- Systematically identify and engage relevant officials across roles and levels within department headquarters to facilitate coordination and approvals
- Design and submit department‑specific, customized proposals aligned with policy objectives, scheme guidelines, and operational requirements.
- Maintain structured records of proposals submitted, approvals received, and current implementation status.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate data sharing and ensure effective execution of initiatives.
Business Development & Strategy:
- Own the territory and strategize to drive revenue and volume growth across assigned partnerships.
- Identify focus departments, key programs, and priority initiatives where the bank's offerings can be positioned for maximum program impact and scale.
- Periodically review progress and refine strategy based on approvals, implementation status, and outcomes
Desired Profile:
- 5–8 years of experience in government/business development, institutional sales, or key account management.
- Prior exposure to working with government departments or large institutional clients is preferred.
- Proven track record of managing high-value partnerships and driving growth.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams.
- Proficiency in the local language of the assigned state is mandatory
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate in any discipline (Post-graduate/MBA preferred)
