EEG/EMG Procedure Execution:
- Perform routine and complex EEG procedures to collect data for diagnosing nervous system disorders.
- Assist in EEG/EMG monitoring during surgeries and in critical care settings such as ICU, ICCU, and PICU.
Equipment Maintenance & Calibration:
- Ensure that EEG/EMG equipment is well-maintained and calibrated as needed.
- Conduct routine tests to verify that all machines are in optimum working condition.
- Maintain an inventory of necessary equipment and supplies to ensure availability for testing.
Patient Management:
- Receive patients, review their paperwork, and ensure the completeness of patient records before testing.
- Schedule EEG/EMG tests and follow up on patient appointments.
- Collect and review patients previous investigation reports to ensure accurate testing.
Collaboration with Neurologists:
- Work closely with neurologists to obtain accurate tracings and ensure the proper documentation for reporting.
- Assist neurologists in interpreting and reviewing the results of EEG and EMG tests.
Clinical Environment Support:
- Assist in EEG/EMG monitoring during surgeries and critical care situations in the operating theater (OT).
- Ensure the confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions, maintaining a high standard of communication.
Documentation & Record Keeping:
- Maintain patient registers, documenting test results, and keeping all records up to date for follow-up.
Quality Improvement & Protocol Adherence:
- Participate in the organization's Quality Improvement Initiative and adhere to all standard operating protocols.
