Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Designer with 2-4 years of experience in apparel design. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of garment construction, trend analysis, and technical documentation. This role will support the design team in developing seasonal collections from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing seasonal collections aligned with brand aesthetics and market trends.
- Conduct trend research and analysis (colors, fabrics, silhouettes, trims, and consumer insights).
- Create technical sketches and detailed tech packs for product development and production.
- Work closely with the merchandising, sampling, and production teams to ensure design accuracy.
- Develop CADs, mood boards, and design presentations for internal reviews.
- Support in fabric, trim, and color selection.
- Collaborate with pattern masters and sampling teams to ensure proper fit and garment construction.
- Participate in sample reviews, fittings, and product development meetings.
- Maintain organized design documentation and update tech packs with revisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design / Apparel Design or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in apparel design.
- Strong knowledge of tech pack creation and garment construction.
- Understanding of pattern making and garment fit.
- Ability to conduct trend forecasting and market research.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD design tools.
- Good understanding of fabrics, trims, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
