At Light Canvas Studio, we are building fun and engaging animated content for kids — and we're looking for a creative animator who can bring characters to life with expressive and playful motion.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Junior 3D Animator (Blender). As a Junior 3D Animator, you will create high-quality animations for various projects using Blender, work on rigging 3D models, and implement motion capture data. You will collaborate with team members to refine character movement and enhance storytelling through animation. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting and optimizing animation assets to meet both creative and technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of prefessional experience in Blender animation
- Proficiency in Blender with a focus on 3D Animation and general Animation principles
- Experience with Rigging and applying Motion Capture data to 3D characters
- Ability to create natural and expressive character movement
- An understanding of animation fundamentals, timing, and character movement
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a remote team
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Game Design, Digital Arts, or a related field is a plus
- Prior experience working with 3D animation production pipelines is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to learn new tools and techniques

Test Task

This will involve creating a simple 30-second animation in Blender featuring a children's character, demonstrating basic motion, expressions, and storytelling. The task is designed to assess foundational animation skills, creativity, and familiarity with Blender.
