About The Opportunity
We are hiring on behalf of a talent acquisition firm supporting clients across enterprise software and technology services. The opportunity sits in the Enterprise Application Development sector, focused on building scalable, production-grade Java backend services for business-critical applications.
Primary role (standardized title): Java Developer
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver backend Java services using Spring Boot and related frameworks to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Implement and maintain microservices-based architectures, creating robust RESTful APIs and ensuring backward compatibility and versioning.
- Write efficient data-access code and optimize SQL queries; collaborate with DBAs to design schema and indexes for performance.
- Author unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain high code quality through automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Containerize applications with Docker and support deployment automation, troubleshooting, and production incident resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, product, DevOps) to translate requirements into delivered features and roadmap items.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven hands-on experience with Java (Java 8+), building backend services
- Expertise in Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem
- Experience implementing Microservices and RESTful APIs
- Strong SQL and relational database skills (query tuning, schema design)
- Experience with version control and build tools: Git and Maven
- On-site work authorization and willingness to work from the assigned India location
Preferred
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and automated testing frameworks (JUnit/TestNG)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
