Operating in the Information Technology & Software Development sector, this role supports enterprise-grade application development for customers across domains such as finance, SaaS, and digital platforms. We build scalable, resilient microservice-based systems that power mission-critical services and high-throughput integrations.
Primary title: Java Developer Spring Boot & Microservices. Location: India (On-site). This role is being hired through Viraaj HR Solutions for client engagements requiring hands-on backend engineering and system ownership.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Spring Boot microservices that expose secure, well-documented RESTful APIs.
- Implement data persistence using JPA/Hibernate and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with architects and product teams to translate requirements into robust, modular service designs and API contracts.
- Deliver automated unit and integration tests, participate in peer code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices for quality and maintainability.
- Containerize services and collaborate with DevOps to enable CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and environment provisioning.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform performance tuning, and add observability (logs, metrics, traces) to support SLAs.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience building backend services in Java using Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem (Spring MVC/Security).
- Practical knowledge of microservices architecture and designing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with ORM frameworks: Hibernate / JPA and strong SQL skills for relational databases.
- Experience containerizing applications with Docker.
- Expertise in version control using Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Familiarity with writing unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
Preferred
- Experience with Spring Cloud, service discovery, and distributed configuration.
- Hands-on with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Knowledge of observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and Chaos/Resilience patterns.
