About the role:
As a Java Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
Responsibilities:
- AEM Development & Implementation: Design, develop, and implement well-structured and performant AEM components, templates, and services, adhering to established development standards
- Site Migration: Assist in the preparation and migration of existing content and sites (e.g., 50+ sites from Umbraco) into the AEM platform
- Integration Support: Implement and integrate AEM REST APIs for consumption by front-end applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality
- Team Support & Guidance: Actively support development activities, including bug fixes, feature enhancements, and deployment tasks, under the direct guidance and mentorship of a Technical Lead or Architect
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and quality assurance processes to ensure the stability and reliability of the AEM implementation
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for developed components, integrations, and configurations
- Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, QA engineers, and project managers to deliver features on time and to specification
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in Java/J2EE software development
- 1-3+ years of hands-on, in-depth experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x or AEM as a Cloud Service)
- Proven experience acting in a Developer or Engineer capacity on AEM implementation projects
- AEM Core: Solid understanding of AEM building blocks: OSGi, Apache Sling, JCR/Oak, Sightly (HTL), and AEM Workflows
- AEM Solutions: Experience in developing and implementing AEM Sites components and AEM Assets (DAM features, metadata)
- Java/J2EE: Strong Java programming skills and familiarity with enterprise design patterns and frameworks (e.g., Spring)
- Web Technologies: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Integrations: Experience integrating AEM with RESTful web services
- Infrastructure & DevOps: Basic understanding of AEM Dispatcher, caching, and CI/CD pipelines (Maven, Git)
