Role Overview
The Lead Generation Expert is not an individual contributor who sends messages. You build, manage, and optimise the entire outreach infrastructure — the sequences, the tooling, the ICP definition, the qualification criteria, and the team that executes it. You have done this before in an IT services context and you have the pipeline numbers to prove it. You will own the full outreach function and be accountable for the quality and volume of leads entering the sales pipeline from all direct outreach channels.
What You Will Own
• System Design — Design the full outreach system — ICP definition, channel strategy, sequence architecture, qualification criteria, and CRM pipeline structure
• Team Leadership — Manage and mentor Lead Generation Specialists — set daily/weekly targets, review message quality, and coach on prospect research and personalisation
• Tool Stack Ownership — Own the tooling stack — LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, Instantly/Smartlead, Bark, Upwork — configuration, data quality, and ROI tracking per tool
• Advanced Prospecting — Build and refine prospect lists — using firmographic, technographic, and intent data to identify companies actively buying IT services
• Testing & Optimisation — Design A/B testing framework for all outreach — systematic testing of messaging, channels, timing, and targeting to drive continuous improvement in reply and conversion rates
• LinkedIn Strategy — LinkedIn personal brand building — for CEO and key leadership profiles — content strategy, connection growth, and thought leadership that generates inbound
• Upwork Strategy — Upwork strategy — profile optimisation, bidding framework, cover letter templates, review acquisition strategy, and Top Rated path
• Forecasting — Pipeline forecasting — predict lead volume based on outreach activity and convert team efforts into revenue projections for leadership
• Channel Coordination — Cross-channel coordination — align outreach with paid ads retargeting, content marketing, and SEO to create a coordinated multi-touch approach
Non-Negotiable Requirements
• 5+ years in B2B outreach for IT services or technology companies — with specific experience in US, UK, AU, CA markets
• Proven track record of building outreach systems that generated measurable pipeline — come with numbers
• Team leadership experience — you have managed or mentored junior outreach staff
• Deep expertise with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, and cold email sequencing platforms
• Understanding of advanced personalisation — account-based research, trigger-event selling, and intent signal usage
• Strong analytical skills — you can calculate ROI per channel, per sequence, and per message variant
• Knowledge of IT services delivery — sufficient to have credible conversations with CTOs and technical buyers
