The Role and Impact: As an IP Design Verification Engineer, you will play an integral role in shaping Intel's advanced IP technologies that empower innovation and redefine digital experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the functional quality of our IP designs, enabling cutting-edge product development with precision and efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact Intel's ability to deliver world-class silicon solutions, driving forward the technology landscape. Key Responsibilities: - Perform functional verification of IP logic to ensure designs meet specification requirements. - Develop and execute IP verification plans, test benches, and environments to confirm compliance with microarchitecture specifications. - Define and run system simulation models to verify designs, analyze power and timing, and identify bugs. - Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in the presilicon environment and implement corrective measures to resolve failing tests. - Collaborate with architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to improve verification of complex architectural and microarchitectural features. - Document test plans and spearhead technical reviews of plans and proofs with design and architecture teams. - Maintain and improve existing functional verification infrastructure and methodologies. - Participate in defining verification infrastructure and related TFMs needed for functional design verification.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years with a Master's degree.
  • Strong coding skills in Perl or Python.
  • Proficiency in System Verilog and UVM/OVM methodology.
  • Hands-on experience with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB, ACE).
  • Proven ability to design and implement verification test environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience bringing up coherent protocols from inception to implementation.
  • Knowledge of Network-on-Chip verification methodologies.
  • Familiarity with formal verification techniques.
  • Exposure to power-aware verification and knowledge of PCIe protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams.
