Job Description

Job Summary

The Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting audits across clinical and non-clinical departments in all branches to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices. The role involves evaluating operational efficiency, identifying risks, and recommending improvements to enhance patient care and hospital management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Audits:
  • Evaluate patient care quality, safety protocols, and clinical workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with medical standards, infection control, and treatment protocols.
  • Assess documentation accuracy in medical records and EMR systems.
  • Audit pharmacy operations, drug inventory, and prescription management.
  • Verify adherence to hospital accreditation standards (NABH/JCI or other).
  • Non-Clinical Audits:
  • Assess administrative processes, HR policies, and staff adherence to protocols.
  • Review financial transactions, billing procedures, and revenue cycle management.
  • Inspect facility management, housekeeping, and security protocols.
  • Evaluate IT infrastructure, data security, and software system efficiency.
  • Audit supply chain management and vendor compliance.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
  • Identify gaps, risks, and non-compliance issues, and provide corrective action plans.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for staff to improve compliance.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • CA Inter/ ACCA/CMA
  • 3 Years Experience in internal auditing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital operations, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to travel to different branches for audits.
