Job Description

The Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) Specialist will be part of WSP's Ethics & Compliance team, based in WSP India. The role supportsEthics & Compliance functions across regions by evaluating new business opportunities and existing engagements for potential organizational conflicts of interest, ensuring compliance with internal policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal searches of WSP client, proposal, and project databases to identify existing or potential relationships.
  • Perform external research using publicly available sources to gather information on projects, counterparties, and project locations.
  • Analyze findings and prepare preliminary assessments of potential organizational conflicts of interest.
  • Support Global Ethics Officers and Analysts with Due Diligence, Gifts, Entertainment & Hospitality (GEH), and Project Integrity reviews.
  • Participate in compliance reviews, audits, and assurance activities, where required.
  • Identify and engage appropriate project teams and senior stakeholders to research relevant WSP work history.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across regions to gather information and communicate identified risk issues.
  • Clearly document research methodology, findings, and conclusions using standard formats

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in conflict analysis within a professional services environment preferred.
  • Strong written communication skills in English, with experience preparing clear, structured reports.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
  • Strong research skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • High level of comfort working with databases and data management systems.
  • Proven experience using Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.

  • Ability to clearly explain OCI identification, assessment, and mitigation processes to stakeholders.
  • High ethical standards and strong integrity.
  • Self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to continuously improve research, documentation, and reporting processes and adapt to new systems and tools.

BGV:

  • Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (BGV) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
