Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Interior Designer with at least 3 years of professional experience in the residential sector. This role is designed for a mid-level professional who has moved beyond the assistant stage and is ready to take ownership of personal home projects. You will be the primary point of contact for homeowners, guiding them through the journey of turning a house into a personalized home.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Project Ownership: Lead residential projects from the initial client discovery meeting through to the final styling and handover.
- Bespoke Residential Design: Create detailed concepts that prioritize personal comfort, ergonomics, and the specific lifestyle habits of the residents (e.g., specialized kitchen workflows, home offices, or kid-friendly zones).
- Technical Drafting & 3D Modeling: Develop precise 2D floor plans, electrical layouts, and plumbing points. Produce high-quality 3D renders that allow clients to walk through their future home.
- Custom Millwork & Furniture: Design detailed drawings for wardrobes, modular kitchens, and vanity units, ensuring every inch of storage is optimized.
- Material & Decor Sourcing: Curate a selection of finishes, paints, wallpapers, and soft furnishings. Maintain a strong eye for quality and durability in home materials.
- Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that carpenters, painters, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) teams are executing the design with high precision.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years specifically in residential interior design. Candidates should be comfortable managing at least 2–3 residential sites simultaneously.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD and SketchUp. Proficiency in rendering software such as V-Ray, Lumion, or Enscape is essential for client presentations.
- Practical Knowledge: Strong understanding of wood types, hardware brands, and residential construction sequences.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing at least three completed residential projects (including real-site photos, not just renders).
