Position Overview

Makespace Design & Build Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly creative, experienced, and client-focused Senior Interior Designer to lead premium residential and commercial interior projects. This role demands a design professional who can independently manage the complete project lifecycle—from concept ideation and client consultation to site execution and final handover.

The ideal candidate will act as a key design leader and client representative, ensuring design excellence, seamless coordination, and timely project delivery. The role also requires strategic thinking, leadership capabilities, and the ability to mentor junior designers while maintaining high design standards across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end interior design projects, from conceptual development to execution and final project delivery.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, handling requirement discussions, presentations, design approvals, and project updates.

• Develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling design concepts aligned with client vision, brand identity, and budget constraints.

• Prepare and review detailed design drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and other design tools.

• Collaborate with architects, project managers, vendors, and site teams to ensure seamless execution and coordination.

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, maintain design integrity, and ensure quality standards are met.

• Identify potential challenges and provide practical design and execution solutions to maintain timelines and cost efficiency.

• Guide and mentor junior designers and design associates, ensuring consistency in creativity, quality, and technical accuracy.

• Stay updated with emerging design trends, materials, and technologies to enhance project outcomes and design innovation.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through professional communication and exceptional project delivery.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in residential, commercial, or turnkey interior projects.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design (Architecture or related field will be an advantage).

• Strong expertise in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite; working knowledge of SketchUp / 3Ds Max will be an added advantage.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and design excellence.

• Strong project coordination, vendor management, and site execution experience.

• Excellent client-handling, presentation, and communication skills.

• Highly creative, detail-oriented, and solution-driven with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to lead design teams, manage timelines, and deliver projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
