Interior Design Intern | DesignCafe Ahmedabad
DesignCafe is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to join our Ahmedabad team. This in-office role is designed for students or recent graduates who want to gain professional experience in a high-growth interior design firm, specifically focusing on technical drafting and design execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Drafting: Use AutoCAD to create detailed 2D floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, and electrical/plumbing drawings.
- Design Support: Assist senior designers in developing design concepts, mood boards, and material palettes.
- Documentation: Help maintain project folders, BoQs (Bill of Quantities), and site measurement records.
- Material Selection: Support the team in selecting finishes and hardware from our Ahmedabad Experience Centre library.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with vendors and on-site teams to ensure design accuracy.
Requirements
- Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or completed a B.Arch, B.Des, or Diploma in Interior Design.
- Format: This is a Work from Office position.
- Skillset: A strong understanding of interior design fundamentals, spatial planning, and local material knowledge.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a professional studio setting.
Bonus Skills
- Working knowledge of SketchUp for 3D modeling.
- Familiarity with other design tools like Photoshop or rendering software.
