Hiring | Virtualization & Infrastructure Engineer (VMware / Linux / Backup & Storage) | L2

We are looking for an experienced Virtualization & Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in VMware environments, Linux administration, enterprise backup solutions, and storage management. The role involves managing virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability, maintaining backup integrity, and supporting secure enterprise operations.

Key Responsibilities

Administer VMware environments including ESXi, vCenter, and VM lifecycle management

Deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot virtual servers and hypervisor infrastructure

Install and maintain Linux operating systems in enterprise environments

Manage backup & recovery operations using CommVault, including monitoring and restoration testing

Handle enterprise storage provisioning, monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning

Perform system health checks, patching, and performance optimization

Ensure infrastructure security best practices and hardening standards

Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide timely resolution

Support Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution

Collaborate with network, security, and application teams

Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in virtualization and infrastructure management

Strong hands-on experience with VMware (ESXi, vCenter)

Good working knowledge of Linux administration

Experience with CommVault backup solutions

Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems

Understanding of HA, DRS, virtualization best practices, and performance tuning

Strong troubleshooting and system monitoring skills

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have any of the following:

BE / ME (Computer Science / IT / ECE)

B.Tech / M.Tech (Computer Science / IT / ECE)

MCA

MSc (Computer Science / IT & Allied)
