Main Purpose:
- Responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and optimizing enterprise digital infrastructure that supports business applications, data platforms, analytics systems, and operational technologies.
- Ensure high availability, performance, security, scalability, and resilience of infrastructure across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments, supporting mission-critical digital initiatives.
Job Accountabilities:
- Design and maintain compute, storage, network, and virtualization architectures aligned with business and digital strategies.
- Support on-premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure models ensuring scalability, redundancy, and fault tolerance.
- Administer physical and virtual servers, virtualization platforms, and hypervisors.
- Manage enterprise storage systems, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Implement and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Support deployment and operations of cloud and hybrid platforms, ensuring cost optimization and performance efficiency.
- Coordinate with network teams on LAN/WAN, firewall, load balancing, and secure connectivity.
- Implement infrastructure-level security controls, hardening, and patch management.
- Support audits related to IT security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging for infrastructure components.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and routine operations using scripts and tools.
- Work closely with application teams, DataOps, DevOps, cybersecurity, and vendors, providing L2/L3 infrastructure support.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of server, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure platforms.
- Experience with on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, firewalls, and secure access.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance tools.
- Scripting and automation skills (Shell / Python / PowerShell).
- Understanding of infrastructure security, patching, and hardening.
- Exposure to audit, compliance, and regulatory environments.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital infrastructure engineering or related fields.
Preferred Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Certifications in cloud, infrastructure, or security technologies will be an added advantage.
