General description of role

The Industry Solutions position is responsible for expanding the reach of Aon HS benefit broking solutions to new clients within target industry segments such as GCC and Financial Institutions. Both segments involve General Industry clients until further segments are introduced. The focus in coming years will be on Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences and Engineering & Manufacturing, with specialists encouraged to rotate. Job responsibilities

  • Grow revenue through acquiring new clients in target industries.
  • Support client teams at client benefit consulting activities including benchmarking, claims reviews, and consulting projects with a view to enhance cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develop thought leadership, including whitepapers that highlight the intellectual capital of the team.
  • Provide accurate closure and forecast reports on monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year business revenues for product and industry penetration objectives.
  • Actively support collaboration among solution lines and non-HS lines to pursue cross-selling opportunities.
  • Develop new clients for Health Solutions and support sales teams on developing arguments using benefit trends.
  • Generate and manage key prospect relationships and define and complete a penetration strategy for existing clients in the region.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Target pre-agreed large/mid-sized segment prospects and show measurable improvement in sales and footprint in the industry segments/product solutions assigned.
  • Assist the sales teams in reaching the region's sales goals.
  • Bring value for prospects through non-price areas.

Skills/competencies required

  • MBA or equivalent experience with professional insurance or benefits qualifications preferred.
  • Additional training or certification in employee benefits, health economics, or wellness is preferred.
  • Typically, 10+ years experience in employee benefits within insurance broking, consulting, underwriting, or managing corporate benefits.
  • Demonstrating critical thinking to develop multi-year benefit strategies.
  • Strong technical understanding of group health and risk products and current market practices.
  • Proven track record leading large or complex client accounts and/or portfolios.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing senior collaborators.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven success in delivering favorable outcomes in renewals and tenders.
  • Commercially minded, with experience supporting or leading business development efforts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills strong presentation and facilitation capabilities.
