About The Job:
  • We are seeking a proactive and experienced Incident Manager to lead the resolution of complex post-migration incidents, particularly where applications are not functioning as expected after infrastructure, data center changes or cloud migrations.
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ITIL practices, particularly Incident and Problem Management, and will act as the central coordination point for technical teams, release leads, change managers, and business stakeholders.
  • This role is critical in maintaining service availability, driving timely resolution, managing communications, and continuously improving the post-migration experience.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Own and manage the full lifecycle of high-priority incidents related to post-migration application failures or degraded performance.
  • Coordinate technical bridge calls involving infrastructure, database, middleware, network, and application teams to drive root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Work closely with Release Leads and Change Managers to validate if issues are related to recent changes or releases.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders during incident resolution—including business owners, project teams, and senior leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and timely incident logging, categorization, prioritization, and closure in ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Provide clear and concise incident communication and updates throughout the incident lifecycle.
  • Facilitate post-incident reviews and contribute to problem management to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to develop workarounds, recovery procedures, or escalation paths when required.
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure SLA adherence, while identifying areas for process and performance improvement.
Qualifications:

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience in incident management or a similar service management role.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL v3/v4 concepts, particularly Incident and Problem Management.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex enterprise application issues in multi-tier environments (App/DB/Infra).
  • Experience working with ServiceNow (SNOW) for incident tracking, reporting, and CMDB.
  • Exceptional coordination skills across cross-functional teams (Infra, DB, App, Networking, Cloud (AWS)).
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly, with excellent decision-making and communication.
  • Experience working with release and change management in large-scale environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level incident summaries.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Exposure to data center migrations, cloud platform transitions (GCP, AWS), or hybrid IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, SCOM).
  • Experience with major incident management frameworks or war room facilitation.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory)
  • ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4)
  • ServiceNow System Administrator or ITSM Certificatio
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus
