Job Responsibilities
. Analyzes and interprets the payment terms and conditions of fully executed site clinical trial agreement (CTA). . Ensures accuracy of contract budget & clinical trial management system (CTMS) template alignment.
. Performs medium to complex weekly target of 35 CTA budget setups within CTMS, and maintains support of 100+ sites. Inputs site budget cost utilizing the t
emplates within CTMS.
. Engages project team with the quality control of the cost structure created within CTMS.
. Serves as subject matter expert for department & project teams concerning contract interpretation and development of payment strategy.
. Ensures the presence of required vendor, participating in clinical trial, financial account details in Oracle Financial system and CTMS.
. Ensures acquisition and completeness of tax related documentation.
. Liaises with internal departments including the Clinical Operation, Operations Management, Finance, and Legal teams.
. Explains roles/responsibilities and coaches project teams through CTA fund setup process and Medidata and IMPACT CTMS navigation, as needed.
. Provides analytical support to project teams with site CTA budget deviations as needed.
. Reviews, assesses, recommends issue resolutions, and takes appropriate action when dealing with site payment disputes and issues.
. Trains and mentors less experienced team members on departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), processes, tools, and templates.
. Proactively participates in Investigator Payment Planning (IPP) Meetings, providing input to payment strategy planning for incoming studies.
. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%)

Summary
The IMS Budget Specialist II plays an important role to the Clinical Development Services team. As the liaison between Operations Management, Site Contracts, Clinical Operations, Investigator Management Solutions Payments Team, the IMS Budget Specialist II will provide analytical insight and support reviewing site budgets, study protocols, and ensuring alignment within the dedicated clinical trial management system. Trains and mentors less experienced team members on departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), processes, tools, and templates.
