Job Description: Implementation Lead
Location: Ahmedabad (On-site)
Department: Implementation & Training
Experience Required: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SaaS implementation, with a strong focus on B2B procurement solutions and ERP integration.
Reports to: Industry Preference: SaaS (Enterprise Implementations Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
· Project Delivery & Timeline Governance
1. Act as the strict guardian of implementation timelines and ensure disciplined execution of all SaaS implementation projects.
2. Identify risks and delays before they occur and take corrective/preventive actions.
3. Maintain customer dependency trackers and ensure timely closures from both internal and external stakeholders.
4. Drive on-time Go-Lives to ensure timely revenue recognition and recurring billing cycles.
· Project Management & Governance
1. Introduce and implement modern project management practices, tools, and templates suitable for SaaS implementation.
2. Prepare structured project dashboards for Management, highlighting progress, risks, and revenue impact.
3. Guide and monitor the team in maintaining high-quality documentation, and periodically review SoWs, change logs, risk registers, dependency trackers, and MOMs for accuracy, completeness, and version control.
4. Strengthen SoWs to protect the company's interest in cases of customer-side delays or scope deviations.
· Customer & Stakeholder Management
1. Proactively manage customer expectations throughout the implementation lifecycle.
2. Raise timely escalations to customer or management whenever delays, gaps, or blockers are identified.
3. Participate in prospect or client meetings to give implementation clarity wherever required.
4. Communicate project progress and revenue status periodically with relevant internal stakeholders.
· Team Leadership & Mentorship
1. Lead, mentor, and grow the implementation team—towards higher ownership and capability maturity.
2. Manage KRAs/PMS for all team members and drive performance improvements.
3. Foster a culture of proactive planning, structured communication, and continuous improvement.
· Technology & Integration Awareness
1. Understand data flows, integrations, and process mapping typical in SaaS implementation environments.
2. Use Gen AI / LLM tools to improve documentation, summarization, project tracking, and presentations.
3. Collaborate with all peer internal teams to ensure solution-oriented and smooth delivery execution.
Required Skills & Competencies
Must Have
1. Proven experience leading Enterprise SaaS implementations end-to-end.
2. Strong project management skills with hands-on usage of tools like Jira, Monday.com, Zoho Projects, ClickUp, etc.
3. Ability to foresee risks and manage escalations confidently.
4. Excellent communication, planning, and customer-facing skills.
5. Exposure to Gen AI tools for productivity, project reporting, and documentation.
6. Strong documentation and analytical skills (SoW, BRD, MOMs, trackers, dashboards).
7. Ability to work with internal teams across functions (Product, UI/UX, Tech, Sales, Customer Success).
8. High ownership, assertiveness, and ability to push timelines diplomatically.
Good to Have
1. Knowledge of API-based integrations between SaaS and ERP systems.
2. Project management certifications such as PMP/Prince2 or equivalent.
3. Experience in driving process transformation or optimization projects.
4. Experience in managing multi-location or multi-stakeholder enterprise rollouts.
