Job Description

Industry: International K‑12 Education — International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme schools operating in India.

Primary Job Title: IB Diploma Programme (DP) Spanish Teacher. We seek an experienced IB‑qualified Spanish educator to deliver high‑impact language instruction, prepare students for IB assessments, and contribute to a vibrant school community on site in India.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging IB DP Spanish lessons (SL and/or HL) aligned to IB curriculum objectives and assessment criteria.
  • Prepare students for IB assessments including internal oral assessments, written exams, and Internal Assessment (IA) components; provide targeted exam strategies and practice.
  • Design, administer and grade formative and summative assessments; analyse results to inform instruction and track student progress.
  • Use ManageBac and LMS tools (e.g., Google Classroom) to manage syllabus, submit reports, record student data, and communicate with parents.
  • Differentiated instruction and classroom management to support mixed‑ability cohorts, EAL learners and students with additional learning needs.
  • Collaborate with the language department on curriculum development, moderation, extracurricular language activities and parent‑teacher engagements.

Skills & Qualifications

Must‑Have

  • Valid teaching qualification and proven experience teaching IB Diploma Programme Spanish (SL and/or HL).
  • Deep knowledge of IB DP Spanish A and/or Spanish B syllabi, assessment criteria and IA requirements.
  • High Spanish language proficiency (CEFR C1–C2 or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with ManageBac and familiarity with Google Classroom or equivalent LMS.
  • Demonstrated ability to design IB‑aligned formative and summative assessments.
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation strategies for diverse learners.

Preferred

  • Experience moderating IB internal assessments or working with IB examiners.
  • Additional language teaching certification (TESOL/TEFL) or IB workshop accreditation.
  • Experience leading curriculum development or supervising language department initiatives.
