Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and creative Visual Arts Teacher to inspire and nurture students in expressing themselves through various artistic mediums. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of art techniques, history, and pedagogy, with the ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
Location:Bangalore - JP Nagar & NICE Road
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging art lessons across different grade levels.
- Introduce students to various art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media.
- Foster creativity and self-expression through hands-on projects and discussions.
- Integrate art history and theory into lessons to provide context and inspiration.
- Organize and display student artwork through exhibitions and school events.
- Encourage students to explore different styles and techniques while developing their unique artistic voice.
- Maintain a well-organized and resourceful art studio/classroom.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
- Stay updated with contemporary art trends and integrate them into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects.
Requirements:
- Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related discipline.
- Prior teaching experience in schools or similar educational settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of different art mediums, techniques, and tools.
- Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students of varying skill levels.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to organize school art exhibitions and student showcases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with digital art tools and technology in art education.
- Familiarity with different art curricula and educational approaches.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating artistic skills and previous teaching projects.
