Title: HVAC Draftsman
Location: Vadodara, Bengaluru, Aurangabad, Sri City
Experience:
- 3-6 years of experience in HVAC drafting for MEP / EPC projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Revit MEP (preferred)
Job Summary:
The HVAC Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, coordinated HVAC layouts, and as-built drawings for commercial and industrial MEP projects.
The role requires strong drafting expertise, sound knowledge of HVAC systems, and close coordination with design engineers, BIM teams, and site execution teams to ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and execution-ready.
Key Responsibilities (Drafting & Design):
HVAC Drafting
- Prepare detailed HVAC shop drawings based on approved designs and specifications
- Develop ducting layouts, chilled water piping layouts, and equipment room layouts
- Prepare HVAC schematics, riser diagrams, isometric drawings, and sectional details
- Modify drawings based on design revisions and site requirements
- Generate accurate as-built drawings based on site execution
Coordination & Integration
- Prepare coordinated drawings integrating HVAC with electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, BMS, and civil systems
- Collaborate with BIM teams for model coordination and clash resolution
- Ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and consultant requirements
Documentation & Support
- Support BOQ preparation and material take-offs from drawings
- Assist in tender drawings and technical submissions
- Incorporate consultant/client comments into final drawings
- Maintain proper drawing documentation, version control, and revision tracking
Project Execution Support
- Coordinate with site engineers to ensure drawings reflect actual installation conditions
- Provide support for site queries, revisions, and technical clarifications
- Participate in coordination meetings when required
- Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedules
Software & Tools:
Mandatory
- AutoCAD (HVAC layouts, ducting & piping drawings, shop drawings)
- MS Excel (quantity take-offs, schedules, documentation)
Preferred
- Revit MEP (HVAC modelling and coordination)
- Navisworks / BIM tools (clash detection)
- Bluebeam (drawing review)
- ERP tools like PROMASH (project tracking and documentation)

- Timely submission of shop and as-built drawings
- High accuracy with minimal rework
- Compliance with project standards and HVAC design codes

- Effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Reduction in clashes and coordination issues

- Organized drawing documentation with revision control
- Accuracy in BOQs and material take-offs

- Compliance with CE's internal digital workflows and reporting systems
5. Responsiveness
- Timely handling of design revisions, RFIs, and site queries
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting (preferred)
- Degree holders with relevant drafting experience may also apply
- 3-6 years of experience in HVAC drafting for MEP / EPC projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Revit MEP (preferred)
