ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are an AI company building tools for HR operations and payroll processing at mid-to-large organisations. Our AI handles payroll input validation, statutory deduction calculations (PF, ESI, TDS, PT), HRIS data change requests, and HR workflow automation — the same processes that HR operations teams run monthly. We need HR and payroll professionals who have personally processed payroll or managed HRIS workflows and can tell us from real monthly run experience where the AI is getting it right and where the exceptions will trip it up.
WORKFLOWS COVERED
- Monthly payroll processing — input collection, gross-to-net calculation, statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, PT, Gratuity), and disbursement
- HRIS data management — employee lifecycle events (joiners, leavers, transfers, promotions), master data updates in SAP HCM, Workday, or equivalent
- Onboarding and offboarding process management — documentation, system access, relieving formalities
- Leave and attendance management — policy application, integration with payroll, exception handling
- HR compliance — PF, ESI, TDS returns, labour law compliance, professional tax across states
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Share how HR operations and payroll processing work in practice — the monthly payroll cycle, HRIS data management, statutory compliance, and the exception handling that makes up real operations
- Review payroll process designs, compliance checklists, or calculation outputs and tell us where they would fail in a real Indian payroll environment
- Help us understand the practical complexity of HR and payroll operations — multi-state compliance, correction workflows, employee lifecycle edge cases — from someone who has run these processes
- Advise on what good HR operations and payroll management looks like and where process descriptions or outputs miss the practical realities
YOU ARE THE RIGHT FIT IF
- Minimum 3 years in HR operations or payroll processing — hands-on monthly runs, not just oversight or audit
- Have personally processed payroll for at least 200+ employees or managed HRIS data across a substantial employee base
- Know Indian payroll compliance from doing it — PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, Gratuity, Bonus Act — not just awareness
- Used platforms such as SAP HCM, Workday, ADP, Darwin Box, Keka, or Greytip in daily payroll or HRIS operations
NICE TO HAVE
- Payroll certification — NSDC-certified payroll professional or equivalent
- Workday HCM or SAP SuccessFactors certification
- Experience with multi-state payroll compliance in India or global payroll for an India-based MNC
- Pay - 2,000 – 3,000 per hour
