Role OverviewThis isn't a typical corporate HR role. You will be a foundational member of our People Operations team, working directly with the leadership to build and manage the entire HR function. You're perfect for this role if you love the hustle of a startup, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and want to build systems from scratch. You will manage everything from finding top talent to running monthly payroll, shaping our company policies, and being a champion for our culture.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Own the end-to-end recruitment process for all departments (including technical and non-technical roles) from creating JDs and sourcing to closing candidates.
- Build a Fast-Growing Team: Implement creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent in a competitive market.
- Onboarding: Create a seamless and welcoming onboarding experience for all new hires to set them up for success.
HR Operations
- Payroll & Compensation: Manage the complete monthly payroll process, including salary sheet preparation, adjustments, and ensuring timely, accurate disbursal.
- Attendance & Leave Management: Monitor and manage employee attendance, leaves, and the HRMS/attendance portal.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure all HR operations are compliant with Indian labour laws, including PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain all employee records, contracts, and documentation meticulously.
Culture & Policy
- Policy Formation: Assist in researching, drafting, and implementing HR policies and an employee handbook that aligns with our startup culture and values.
- Culture Champion: Act as a key point of contact for employees, listen to feedback, and be a champion for a positive, high-performance work environment.
- Employee Engagement: Plan and execute small, high-impact engagement activities to foster team bonding and morale.
Who You Are
- 0 to 2.5 years of hands-on experience in an HR Generalist role.
- A bachelor's degree in any field. We welcome both B.Tech or Non-B.Tech backgrounds.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as other MS Office Suite.
- Adapt to fast-pacing situations and manage multiple priorities
- Proven experience in talent acquisition and are passionate about building great teams.
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing and attendance management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with employees and leadership.
