Job Description for Manager – Human Resources
Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Manager - Human Resources to lead and manage the HR function across the group of companies at Global North. This role will be responsible for driving a unified people strategy across multiple business verticals, ensuring alignment with the group's vision, values, and growth objectives.
The role requires a strong leader who can balance strategic oversight with operational excellence, standardize HR practices across entities, and build a high- performance, people- centric culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement group-wide HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business goals.
· Lead end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition, partnering with hiring managers.
· Oversee employee lifecycle management – onboarding, performance management, and separation processes.
· Manage and ensure accuracy in payroll processing, compensation structures, and compliance (PF, ESIC, PT, POSH).
· Drive employee engagement, retention initiatives, and staff welfare activities across the group.
· Ensure adherence to labour laws, statutory compliance, and internal policies.
· Design and implement performance appraisal systems and training programs.
· Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
· Maintain HR documentation, reporting, and employee data confidentiality.
· Lead HR communications, policy drafting, and internal initiatives.
· Collaborate with leadership to support organizational development and workforce planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Master's degree in human resources or related field.
· 7 - 10 years of relevant HR experience with exposure to managerial responsibilities.
· Proven experience in HR operations, recruitment, and employee lifecycle management.
· Strong understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance frameworks.
· Hands-on experience in payroll management, HR systems, and policy implementation.
Skills Required:
· People-oriented and result-driven with strong sense of ownership.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to build relationships across all levels and bridge management-employee gaps.
· Strong knowledge of HR systems, databases, and processes.
· Expertise in performance management, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
· High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
