Job Title: HR Manager / Assistant Manager - Human Resources
Location: Gurgaon
Reports To: COO/CEO
Job PurposeTo lead and manage all aspects of Human Resources including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compliance, and HR strategy to support the organizational goals and promote a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities• Daily HR Operations: Manage day-to-day HR operations and activities and assign/ monitor the HR Team's daily work status.
• Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle including manpower requisition, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of candidates across levels. Develop effective hiring strategies, maintain talent pipelines, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure timely closure of positions while enhancing employer branding.
• Workforce Planning: Collaborate with leadership to forecast workforce requirements in line with business goals. Analyze manpower trends, attrition, and productivity metrics to support strategic hiring decisions, optimize resource allocation, and ensure organizational readiness for growth.
• HRMS / HR Software Management: Demonstrate strong hands-on experience in HRMS/HRIS platforms for managing employee data, attendance, payroll inputs, leave management, and reporting. Ensure system accuracy, generate HR analytics dashboards, and drive automation for improved efficiency and decision-making.
• End-to-End Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire employee journey from onboarding to exit, ensuring a seamless experience. This includes pre-joining communication, documentation, orientation programs, employee confirmations, and background verification (BGV).
• Onboarding & Integration: Facilitate the joining process for new hires (Contract, Permanent & Interns) by handling welcome calls, salary account setup, employee ID creation, and coordinating IT access. Conduct virtual induction sessions to familiarize employees with company policies, culture, and expectations. Ensure smooth integration through structured onboarding initiatives and innovative engagement techniques.
• Employee Relations & Workplace Culture: Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, addressing grievances, fostering positive workplace relationships, and driving engagement initiatives. Organize team-building activities, celebrations, HR Connect sessions, and workplace surveys (e.g., Pulse Surveys) to promote a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and well-being.
• HR Policies & Compliance: Draft, implement, and update HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure adherence to labor laws and organizational best practices. Communicate policies effectively to employees and address any compliance-related concerns.
• Payroll Management: Coordination with the consultant for the timely preparation of Payroll under all the heads (White Collar & Blue Collar). Sharing and Coordination with the Accounts Department for the timely disbursal of salaries.
• Performance Management & KPI Alignment: Oversee the Performance Management System (PMS), ensuring timely appraisal cycles, feedback sessions, and performance evaluations. Work closely with leadership to align Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with business goals, driving a performance-oriented culture.
• Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Administration: Manage payroll inputs, including attendance, leave tracking, overtime approvals, and compliance with payroll policies. Administer employee insurance policies and other benefits, ensuring timely endorsements and claim processing. Coordination with the Clients & Compliance consultant for the smooth operations.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure registration and renewal of all mandatory licenses under the Factories Act or Shops & Establishments Act, Timely remittance of PF (Provident Fund), ESIC (Employee State Insurance), LWF, Professional Tax contributions. Filing of statutory returns (e.g., PF returns, ESIC returns, LWF returns), Ensure correct deductions and deposits of TDS on salaries. Monitor adherence to the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act (POSH).
• Exit & Offboarding Process: Conduct exit interviews, revoke system access, coordinate clearance formalities with IT and payroll, and facilitate a smooth transition for outgoing employees. Maintain professional relationships with alumni and use exit feedback to drive organizational improvements.
• HR Strategy & Workforce Analytics: Analyze workforce trends, generate reports for management, and contribute to the development of HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives. Provide insights into talent retention, attrition rates, and employee engagement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Employer Branding: Coordinate with the marketing team for internal communication, social media updates, and employer branding initiatives. Work with leadership and department heads to enhance employee experience and engagement.
• Legal Agreement Tracking: Coordinate with internal team, legal team and clients for the timely execution of agreement renewals and agreement making. Maintain the correct database in the HR records.
• Reward & Recognition/TM Outings: Design, plan, and execute a monthly Rewards & Recognition program that aligns with organizational goals, Coordinate with department heads to gather nominations and finalize awardees fairly and transparently. Organize and host award ceremonies to keep morale high. Manage the R&R budget, ensuring costs stay within approved limits. Gather feedback from employees to continuously improve the R&R program. Plan and organize periodic team outings, celebrations, and get-togethers to build camaraderie. Identify suitable venues, finalize dates, and coordinate logistics for team events. Support a positive and motivating work environment through regular recognition and team-building initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred)
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in HR roles with progressive responsibility
· Strong skills in recruitment and talent acquisition strategy
· Proven experience in training and developing staff and managers
· Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills
· Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, and attention to detail
· Familiarity with HRMS/HRIS platforms
· Sound understanding of Indian labor laws and HR compliance requirements
