Location: Gurgaon (Work from Office-4x a week)

Empenofore Technologies is a growing HR and technology solutions company working closely with leading global clients. As we expand, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our Human Resources function. This is a core role that goes far beyond recruitment (which is not part of this role) and focuses on the entire employee lifecycle, compliance, payroll, policies, data management and presentation, and engagement.
Role Summary
The HR Manager will be responsible for driving HR operations, ensuring compliance, managing payroll and employee benefits, and fostering a positive work environment. This role requires excellent stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and the ability to balance day-to-day HR operations with long-term people strategies.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Oversee onboarding, induction, and exit processes, ensuring smooth employee experience.
- Manage employee records, HR repository, and Zoho People/Zoho Payroll systems, and andy and all vendors- including insurance and gifting.
- Handle terminations, F&F settlements, and statutory compliance, including POIs, and work with the finance team.
- Drive background verification (BGV) checks for new joiners with our agency.
Payroll & Compliance
- Prepare and process monthly payroll, reimbursements, and deductions.
- Ensure accurate PF, KYC, GHI (Group Health Insurance) additions/deletions.
- Manage salary finalization, pay run summaries, and reporting.
- Coordinate with vendors and finance for reconciliations and billing %.
Policies, Reporting & Governance
- Draft, update, and communicate HR policies.
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/half-yearly reports on attendance, leave, and HR metrics.
- Own profitability and billability tracking in coordination with leadership and Sales
- Monthly recon and attendance data to be collated via our different client
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities, R&R programs, and monthly activities.
- Lead HR Connect sessions and engagement surveys.
- Coordinate appraisals and performance management cycles (April & October).
- Manage rewards, recognition, and internal communication.
Vendor & Admin Management
- Act as the primary POC for HR vendors (insurance, payroll, background check, job portals).
- Oversee renewals for Zoho Payroll/People, Naukri, and other platforms.
- Support in scouting and negotiating with vendors for cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years of experience in HR with at least 23 years in a managerial role.
- Prior experience handling payroll, compliance, policies, and end-to-end HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, statutory requirements, and HR tech tools (Zoho preferred).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proactive, structured, and detail-oriented.
- Must be avaialble to join immediately or within 30 days
