HR Generalist

Organisation: The Language SKOOL

Location: Remote India

Experience: 410 Years

Compensation: 25,000 65,000 per month (based on experience)

About The Language SKOOL

The Language SKOOL (TLS) is a fast-growing, remote-first EdTech organisation with 500+ team members across academic and non-academic functions. We operate through structured systems, performance-driven processes, and clearly defined accountability frameworks.

We are looking for a mature, hands-on Senior HR Generalist who can independently manage core HR functions while partnering closely with business leaders.

Role Overview

This role requires strong exposure to:

  • Performance Management Systems (PMS)
  • Employee Engagement & Culture Initiatives
  • Grievance Handling & Employee Relations
  • End-to-End Recruitment

The candidate must be structured, process-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performance Management (PMS)

  • Coordinate goal-setting and appraisal cycles.
  • Track KRAs/KPIs and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Support rating calibration and performance discussions.
  • Generate PMS analytics and insights.

2. Employee Engagement

  • Plan and execute engagement initiatives.
  • Drive recognition programs.
  • Conduct pulse surveys and action planning.
  • Strengthen retention and team morale in a remote setup.

3. Grievance Handling & Employee Relations

  • Address employee concerns in a structured manner.
  • Conduct neutral investigations and document findings.
  • Support disciplinary and corrective processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance.

4. Recruitment (End-to-End)

  • Manage hiring for assigned functions.
  • Screen, interview, and shortlist candidates.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers.
  • Maintain hiring trackers and TAT metrics.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of Performance Management frameworks
  • Knowledge of grievance redressal and employee relations processes
  • Structured documentation and reporting skills
  • Recruitment expertise (screening, competency-based interviewing)
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Analytical ability to interpret performance and engagement data
  • HRMS proficiency (experience with structured systems preferred)
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Policy interpretation and compliance awareness
  • Time management and multi-tasking ability

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 710 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong exposure to PMS and grievance handling.
  • Experience in structured, performance-driven organisations.
  • Mature, balanced, and business-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working in remote-first environments.
