Role Overview

As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and strengthening the entire employee lifecycle. This role requires complete ownership of core HR operations, people processes, compliance, and employee experience. You will act as a trusted partner to employees and business teams, ensuring smooth HR operations while supporting organisational growth through effective people practices.

What you'll be doing

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Own the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience.
  • Manage employee documentation, including offer letters, confirmation letters, increment letters, warning letters, and exit documents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

Compensation, Payroll & Benefits

  • Prepare CTC breakups and salary fitment for new hires and internal movements.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team for monthly payroll inputs and salary processing.
  • Manage employee benefits such as insurance, PF, ESI, and related statutory compliances.
  • Track confirmations, appraisals, increments, and promotions.

Attendance, Leave & Compliance

  • Track attendance and maintain leave records accurately.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual HR filings and statutory reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and internal HR processes.

Employee Support & Engagement

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related queries, including leaves, compensation, policies, and benefits.
  • Resolve employee concerns proactively and confidentially.
  • Organise annual performance reviews and support performance management initiatives.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Support end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, coordination, and onboarding.
  • Conduct reference checks and background verifications for all employees.
  • Assist in organising training and development initiatives for employees.

Policy & Process Development

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support performance management frameworks and HR best practices.

General Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all employee levels.
  • Good understanding of end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, payroll coordination, compliance, and performance management.
  • Sound knowledge of labour laws, statutory requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Finance and Leadership.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently with ownership.
