Who This Role Is For

We're looking for an HR Executive who has worked inside a content, media, or digital marketing agency not just recruited for one from the outside.

You understand why hiring a Social Media Manager and hiring an Instagram Strategist are two completely different briefs. You've evaluated video editing portfolios, assessed content strategists, and know that a great thumbnail designer is not the same as a graphic designer.

If your recruitment experience is limited to IT staffing, BPO hiring, or corporate HR operations then this role will not be the right fit.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for creative and strategic roles like video editors, YouTube strategists, Instagram experts, scriptwriters, thumbnail designers, media buyers, and business development executives.
  • Source candidates who actually have the skills we need - not just matching keywords on Linkedin. You'll review portfolios, assign practical tasks, and assess candidates the way creative agencies do.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of pre-vetted creative talent so we're never scrambling to fill a role.
  • Partner with the founder to understand hiring priorities, define role requirements, and develop screening criteria that go beyond resume keywords.
  • Manage the candidate experience from first touch to offer acceptance while keeping communication timely, professional, and transparent.
  • Create and refine recruitment SOPs - document what works, improve what doesn't, and build a repeatable hiring system for a growing agency.
  • Handle HR documentation - offer letters, onboarding coordination, compliance records, and recruitment trackers.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have:

  • 15 years of HR/recruitment experience, with at least 1 year working inside a content, media, or digital marketing agency.
  • Hands-on experience hiring creative roles like video editors, designers, strategists, or content creators. You should be able to name specific roles you've closed and how you sourced them.
  • You know how to evaluate creative work like reviewing portfolios, assessing editing quality, or judging content strategy skills. This is non-negotiable.
  • Strong sourcing skills beyond just Naukri/Indeed job postings, you've used LinkedIn search, creative communities, referrals, freelance platforms, or portfolio sites to find talent.
  • Excellent communication skills in English - written and verbal. You'll be the first impression candidates have of our company.
  • Strong organizational skills - you'll manage multiple open roles, candidate pipelines, and deadlines simultaneously.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with portfolio-based or task-based candidate evaluation (not just resume screening).
  • Understanding of the YouTube/content creator ecosystem - you know what a strategist actually does vs. a generic SMM.
  • Experience building SOPs or structured processes from scratch.

This Role Is NOT For You If:

  • Your entire HR experience is in IT staffing, manufacturing, or corporate generalist roles.
  • You've never personally evaluated a creative portfolio or assigned a practical hiring task.
  • You rely solely on job portal postings and wait for applications to come in.
  • You cannot name specific creative roles you've closed in the past 12 months.
