Position: HR Assistant

Location: Vellore

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Role Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and organized HR Assistant to support the Human Resources department in daily operations. The ideal candidate will assist in recruitment, employee record management, onboarding, attendance tracking, payroll coordination, and employee engagement activities. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with candidates.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees by preparing joining documents, collecting required records, and conducting orientation support.
  • Maintain employee files, attendance records, leave records, and other HR documentation.
  • Coordinate with departments for staff attendance, payroll inputs, incentives, and employee benefits.
  • Assist in preparing offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation letters, warning letters, and other HR-related documents.
  • Support employee engagement activities, team-building initiatives, and internal communication programs.
  • Handle basic employee queries related to attendance, leave, salary, policies, and workplace concerns.
  • Ensure all employee records are updated and maintained accurately in physical and digital formats.
  • Support HR policy implementation and ensure employees follow company rules and procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring staff discipline, punctuality, grooming, and workplace behavior.
  • Coordinate with management for performance reviews, appraisals, and employee feedback processes.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Support exit formalities, including resignation documentation, clearance process, and final settlement coordination.
  • Assist in organizing staff meetings, training sessions, and HR-related events.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources practices and office administration.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of attendance systems, payroll support, and HR records management.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Google Sheets, and HR software is preferred.
  • Strong follow-up and coordination abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset and positive attitude.

Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in HR, administration, recruitment, or office coordination will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in the education, training, or service industry is preferred.
