Job Description

JOB PURPOSE :

To support and manage end-to-end HR functions , ensuring smooth operations, compliance, employee engagement, and effective coordination between management and shop-floor workforce.

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage the hiring process for plant-level positions (operators, technicians, supervisors, staff).
  • Coordinate interviews, skill tests, and pre-employment formalities.
  • Ensure proper induction & orientation programs for new joiners at the plant.

2. Attendance, Payroll & HR Operations

  • Monitor daily attendance, shift schedules, overtime, and leave management.
  • Coordinate with the payroll team for timely and accurate salary processing.
  • Maintain employee records in HRMS and ensure data accuracy.

3. Employee Relations & Discipline

  • Address employee grievances promptly and maintain harmonious industrial relations.
  • Conduct regular shop-floor rounds to understand workforce morale and concerns.
  • Assist in handling disciplinary actions, misconduct cases, and domestic inquiries.

4. Statutory Compliance & Audits

  • Ensure compliance with all labour laws applicable (Factories Act, ESIC, PF, wages, contract labour, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external agencies and government authorities during inspections.
  • Maintain statutory registers, records, and documentation.

5. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs for workmen & staff through skill gap analysis.
  • Plan and execute safety, technical & behavioural training programs.
  • Maintain training MIS and evaluate effectiveness.

6. Performance Management

  • Assist in KRAs documentation, appraisal coordination, and performance reviews.

7. Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Organize engagement activities, welfare programs, and cultural events at the plant.
  • Oversee canteen, transport, uniform, and other welfare facilities.

8. HR MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly HR dashboards and reports for management.
  • Track manpower, attrition, absenteeism, overtime, and other KPIs.
