About the Role

Lead and execute day-to-day all Human Resources operations in India, ensuring full compliance with local labor laws, accurate people administration, and alignment with global HR standards.

The position requires a proactive, self-driven HR professional who can operate independently, set up and run HR processes, and act as the primary HR reference on site for employees and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end HR operations in India with full ownership of daily execution, legal compliance, and alignment with global HR standards.
  • Act as the primary HR reference on site, operating independently in an SME environment.
  • Own the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, contracts, changes, disciplinary processes, payroll coordination, and exits.
  • Ensure full compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Shops and Establishments Act).
  • Manage monthly payroll accuracy, statutory filings, and reporting in close collaboration with Finance and external providers.
  • Translate global HR policies into practical local processes, continuously improving systems and data quality.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, performance reviews, and engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted partner to employees and managers, fostering a positive, compliant, and transparent work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or similar.
  • Master's degree or HR specialization is a strong plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in HR roles with supervisory or standalone responsibility, preferably in SMEs.
  • Proven experience executing HR operations independently, not only supporting functions.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS / ERP systems (SAP, Workday, or similar).
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
  • Solid, up-to-date knowledge of Indian labor law and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, PT).
  • English: C1 professional proficiency (spoken and written).Required.
  • Required local language(s).
