Roles & Responsibilities for HRBP:
This is a pivotal role for an HRBP who thrives in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment and is
passionate about building strong, compliant, and high-performing teams across diverse
geographies. You'll partner directly with our B2B Overseas leadership to drive our people strategy,
ensuring our international growth is underpinned by exceptional talent and a thriving culture.
You will be instrumental in managing a diverse team of approximately 80+ employees spread
across 16+ countries, specifically within South & Southeast Asia (Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand,
Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia), LATAM, Africa, and GCC regions.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As an HR Business Partner for our B2B Overseas teams, you will:
Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted HR Business Partner to our B2B Overseas leadership, providing strategic guidance and operational support on all people-related matters across your assigned regions.
Talent Acquisition & Management: Collaborate with leaders to define staffing needs and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent in diverse international markets, navigating local employment practices and cultural nuances. Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, talent development, and offboarding, tailored to local contexts.
Employee Relations & Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment across all international locations, addressing employee relations issues with sensitivity and in accordance with local labor laws. Champion employee engagement initiatives and cultural integration efforts for a globally distributed workforce.
Compliance & Policy: Ensure rigorous adherence to local labor laws, regulations, and best practices across all operational countries, minimizing compliance risks. Develop, implement, and localize HR policies and procedures that align with both global standards and regional legal requirements.
Performance & Compensation: Guide managers on performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans, adapting for cultural nuances. Support compensation and benefits reviews, ensuring competitive and equitable practices within each market.
Organizational Development & Change: Assist in cultural transformation and organizational change initiatives required for our international B2B operations, facilitating seamless transitions and fostering adaptability within the teams.
HR Operations & Data: Partner with central HR and tech teams to leverage HR systems for efficient data management and reporting specific to international employee populations. Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and inform data-driven decisions for our overseas teams.
Budget & Administration: Contribute to the development and management of the staffing and HR/Admin budget for overseas operations. Oversee day-to-day HR administration and liaison activities for international employees.
What You'll Bring (Required Skills/Experience)
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years specifically in an HR Business Partner role supporting international or multi-country operations, ideally within a B2B or rapidly scaling tech/edtech company.
Global HR Expertise: Deep understanding of employment practices, and cultural nuances across South/SE Asia, LATAM, Africa, and GCC regions is preferred HRBP Competencies: Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner, employee champion, and change agent within a dynamic business environment. Problem-Solving & Process: Exceptional first principles problem-solving and process design skills, with a focus on creating scalable and efficient HR solutions for a distributed workforce.
Culture & Engagement: Demonstrated success in building conscious culture, driving employee engagement, and effectively resolving complex employee relations issues in diverse cultural settings.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with significant autonomy and a high degree of ownership.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and collaborating across various levels and cultures.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or relevant international HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, GPHR) is a plus.
Added Plus: If you've spent a few years at a people-centric large MNC and then gone through the 0->1->n journey at a startup, that's a significant advantage. A strong academic pedigree is also a plus.
