The ideal candidate brings strong experience supporting Australia-based employees and leaders remotely, has a solid understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR operations, and is comfortable working across time zones in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders across the Australian entity to ensure smooth and effective delivery of all People/HR strategic initiatives, policies, programs, and services.
- Lead and support key HR initiatives, including performance calibration, career development, compensation cycles, succession planning, engagement surveys, and associated action plans.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on hiring, employee development, compensation, communication, engagement, employee relations, and change management initiatives.
- Provide guidance and recommendations in accordance with Australian employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
- Build strong relationships with Australia-based leaders and employees while effectively supporting the business remotely from India.
- Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people strategy by understanding business priorities, workforce dynamics, and talent needs within the Australian market.
- Analyze and interpret People/HR metrics and analytics to support business decision-making and recommend proactive solutions.
- Provide timely HR guidance and education to employees and leaders across multiple levels of the organization.
- Collaborate closely with the global People/HR team on cross-functional projects and initiatives that support employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist or lead employee relations matters and workplace investigations while ensuring compliance with Australian employment practices and company policies.
- Support organizational changes, integrations, restructuring efforts, and onboarding activities for newly acquired entities as needed.
- Promote and reinforce company culture, values, and employer brand initiatives.
- Act as a mentor and coach to other HR team members where appropriate.
- Stay current on Australian employment legislation, HR trends, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience as an HR Generalist and/or HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders and employees.
- Prior experience supporting employees and leadership teams in Australia.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment laws, HR compliance requirements, employee relations practices, and workplace standards.
- Experience partnering with leaders remotely across global teams and time zones.
- Experience within a consulting services, technology services, or professional services environment preferred.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to align People initiatives to business goals.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR data and make informed recommendations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience supporting organizational change, restructuring, growth, or transformation initiatives.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred.
